It's hard to find a decent coffee shop in Kuching which serves high quality coffee - and Earthlings is probably the best you could find in town! They know their coffee well and the café has a really nice atmosphere with approachable staffs! Definitely will recommend it to any coffee lovers around! I sat next to where the coffee workshop is, it was really fascinating as it reminded me of some sort of coffee laboratory. The pricing is affordable depending on what you order. Very good quality. They have a great selection of delectables, which are so beautifully presented. Did I mention that the employees there are extremely friendly ?Highly impressed with the service! #passionpassport

Bing! Coffee has a really nice interior. Like Bla Bla Bla, it is one of the more stylish places in Kuching. The design is modern without being bland, and there are some nice Asian touches. This is definitely a great place to hang out with friends over a cuppa. Besides the drinks, they also serve cakes and light sandwiches. It was good as expected. Loved the Cafe Latte I ordered with a slice of cake and Lasagna. Affordable price, friendly workers and good service. This coffee place is peaceful and relaxing place to either meet friends or have a quick break on your own. #passionpassport

Feast and Furious Cafe is a racing themed restaurant. Antique car, antique motorcycle, big bike, heavy motorcycle also inside the cafe. This restaurant serves Western food, Asian food and served no pork. This cafe is the first racing themed in Malaysia. As I approached the café, I could not help being attracted by the motorsports mural. There are portraits of the motorsports greats like MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi , motorcycle racer Giacomo Agostin, the greatest rider of all time Eddy Merckx and the late Formula One champion Ayrton Senna, some of Alex’s heroes. A mural of seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher adorned one corner of the building. The murals are the handiwork of local artist. Feast & Furious Café is a cool place to hang out in Kuching. A place where great food cool wheels beckon! #passionpassport

What a hidden gem! The Black Bean Coffee shop is just a simple cafe sitting in the heart of Kuching, but it's coffee is marvelous. They have beans for sale from around the world as well as local Sarawakian beans. Price is good and the small business customer service is spectacular. If you're in Kuching I and craving a coffee (cause that's all they have here) then this is the place for you. Except in Sunday when it's closed. The shop is very small and with limited table but please dont go away, at least take away their coffee and walk down a bit then u will reach waterfront. You can sit there and enjoy the lovely evening #passionpassport

Indah House - In this quiet side street in Kuching you will discover a great cafe offering vegetarian and vegan food served by friendly and helpful staff. The simple vegan menu is presented on a price of reused cardboard, but looks great. The Curry Canai was good as was all the food we had. Well worth a stop. Has a few tables outside. Lots of art displayed throughout and for sale. They gave us top tips for other places in the city and suggested the most amazing guide for Bako national park. Go here to find his details. You won't regret it. The people at Indah cafe are all super friendly and accommodating, it would be a shame not to add some of their warmth to your visit to Kuching! #passionpassport

Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa. This massive property (over 700 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments) sits on the beach overlooking the South China Sea. Pastel-colored buildings sit on palm-dotted landscaped grounds. Buildings are topped with little towers for a bit of a fairytale effect combined with the colorful hues, and each building features an interior courtyard with greenery. Interiors are fairly bland and a bit institutional; they could use some updates, but they're functional. Dining spaces don't offer much in terms of decor, but some of the outdoor areas offer nice views over the sea. The lobby has a waiting room vibe with airport-style seating and flat-screen TVs. Overall, this is a tired property in need of revamps, but it nevertheless maintains popularity with groups seeking budget lodgings. School groups are common, and plenty of families stay here as well. #passionpassport

Permai Rainforest Resort. Deep in the Borneo jungle, with only the neighboring cultural village and a food court in walking distance, this rainforest hotel is designed for total nature immersion. The 44 acres (17.8 hectares) of lush vegetation form a veritable eco-paradise here, and a private white-sand beach fronts the South China Sea (there's also a public one nearby). Much like the stream-fed jungle pool though, there are no loungers or umbrellas here. The teak-wood lobby and cafe area are rustic, as are tree house and cabin rooms, which are all spread amid lush greenery. Wooden or bridged walkways divide up exotic foliage, and exotic birds, lizards, and tree-swinging monkeys make for quirky company. Prepare for more-challenging bugs, mosquitoes, or snakes though, and uneven terrain isn't for the mobility-impaired. Couples, families, or team-bonding conference groups come here for the retreat setting and nature-centric activities. These range from evening mangrove or firefly walks, to more-challenging ropes courses. Nearby trails also lead to beautiful waterfalls. Bare-bones accommodation and simple (but mostly included) food aren't always top-quality, but the experience is unique. #staycation #passionpassport

Set along a riverfront promenade, the 13-story Hilton Kuching commands panoramic views of the city and the winding Sarawak River. The hotel’s central location -- within a short walk of restaurants, bars, and shops -- attracts a mixed crowd of tourists and business travelers. While rooms are largely contemporary and well-maintained, some public areas are on the old-fashioned side and showing their age. For example, the casual Waterfront Cafe has dated striped chairs, while the mediocre outdoor pool has a worn deck. On a less positive note, the hotel’s public areas, as well as 315 rooms and suites, are in an obvious need of refurbishment. Also on the downside, there are no spa or kids' club, and some guests have complained of cigarette smells in non-smoking units. Hilton Kuching has a decent array of amenities for guests, though the outdoor pool is mediocre and showing its age. Nevertheless, it's medium-sized and has adjacent padded loungers. #passionpassport #staycation
