Travel to the Ancient City of Wiang Kum Kam. New Year, New Trip

This trip to Chiang Mai, we recommend visiting the ancient and sacred site of Wiang Kum Kam. This ancient city is located in Mueang Chiang Mai District, about 5 kilometers from the city center. It was once the capital of King Mangrai before he moved to establish Chiang Mai. Today, it has become an important archaeological site filled with many old temples. You can get there by private car or take a tram tour from the Tourist Information Center, with a service fee of about 50-100 baht per person (including a guide who explains the history).
