P-Man Hokkaido Solo Trip: A Spontaneous Frozen Adventure

Winter has come again, reminding me of last year's solo trip. I've been putting it off for a year, but I finally want to document it! As a true free spirit (a spontaneous person), this Hokkaido trip was all about "plans never keep up with changes," but unexpectedly, every surprise turned into a story! Sharing it with those of you who also dislike detailed planning! 🗺️ 8-Day Itinerary: D1⃣️: Guiyang → Osaka A 4-hour direct flight, straight to Shinsaibashi upon landing! The streets were filled with neon lights and host club billboards, instantly transporting me to a Japanese drama mode 🍜 D2⃣️: Osaka → Sapporo A 2-hour flight, but unexpectedly, the trains stopped running as soon as I landed… forcing me to enjoy a half-day trip to New Chitose Airport ✈️ ✨Unexpected bonus: The airport is such a great place to shop! After eating Hokkaido milk ice cream 🍦 and hot soup curry, I didn't get back to the hotel until 9 pm 😂 D3⃣️: Sapporo Citywalk Route: Nijo Market Seafood Rice Bowl → Odori Park → Sapporo TV Tower Night View ⚠️It gets dark very early in Hokkaido in winter, it's completely dark by 4:30 pm! Remember to leave early~ D4⃣️: Otaru Snowstorm Experience Taking the Sapporo tram to Otaru, I got off at [Zenhan] to see the sea 🌊 but suddenly a blizzard hit, and my face hurt 😭 The Tenguyama Ropeway was out of service, and I slipped and fell on my bottom on a slope… I didn't bring crampons, so I walked very carefully ❄️ (Everyone must check the weather in advance and bring crampons!) D5⃣️: A Terrifying Experience with Crows Stealing Food 🐦 While walking in Maruyama Park, my brightly colored pineapple was spotted by crows! After being attacked like crazy, I finally saw the warning sign: No eating in the park ⚠️ (But I didn't eat!) In the afternoon, I went to the Shiroi Koibito (White Lover) factory to take photos and buy cookies and limited-edition fridge magnets – super photogenic 📸 D6⃣️: A laid-back Asahikawa trip. Bought a zoo pass but missed entering (a typical P-person experience). Entry stopped at 3:30 PM, so sisters who want to go should remember to go early. After that, I just wandered around Asahikawa, played in the snow, ate ramen, and relaxed at a dessert shop 🍜 Asahikawa ramen truly lived up to its reputation! D7⃣️: A day as a kid in Sapporo. Wrote postcards at a cafe in Nakajima Park ✉️ Borrowed a kid's snowboard and went skiing down the slope – so much fun! The uncle at the Sapporo Observatory was super enthusiastic, and he even said "Venus" in Chinese—so cute! ✨ D8⃣️: A New Airport Overnight Experience Because of PTSD from the train service disruptions, I opted to spend the night at the airport early. The onsen (hot spring) on ​​the 4th floor of New Chitose Airport offers overnight stays ♨️ (approximately 200 RMB). You can definitely buy souvenirs at the airport; they have everything! They even have freshly fried Calbee fries 🍟—definitely worth a try! 💡P's Travel Tips: · Hokkaido's winter transportation is easily affected by the weather, so allow extra time. · Crampons or non-slip shoes and touchscreen gloves are essential! · The airport is great for shopping; no need to buy souvenirs in advance. · A more flexible itinerary might lead to some pleasant surprises.
