A must-see for beer lovers! If you come to Hokkaido, toast at Sapporo Beer Garden

#JapanTravelGuide This time, we'll introduce must-see spots for beer lovers in Sapporo. The Sapporo Beer Museum, located in Naebo, Sapporo, Hokkaido, is a recommended spot for beer lovers as well as history and architecture enthusiasts. The imposing red brick building and the five-pointed star logo are its landmarks. While it's not a factory, you can still get a real feel for the history and culture of beer! 🔍 Main Sights & Tasting Tour Free Admission: Explore the exhibition galleries at your own pace. Perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy themselves without worrying about time. Tasting Corner in Star Hall A three-variety tasting set featuring the classic "Sapporo Black Label," "Sapporo Classic (Hokkaido only)," and "Kaitakushi Beer" is available. Prices range from ¥800 to ¥1,200. Single beers cost around ¥300 to ¥550. Premium Tour Enjoy a guided tour of the museum's exhibits, and at the end, enjoy a tasting of two beers: the limited-edition "Revival Sapporo Beer" and the classic Black Label. The tour lasts approximately 50 minutes. Participants typically pay ¥1,000 for adults, ¥500 for junior high school students through 20, and free for elementary school students and younger. Reservations are required. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available! My partner had a non-alcoholic drink because he was driving. 😭 📅 Reservations & Check Times Premium tours can be booked up to four weeks in advance on the official website. We recommend booking early! It's popular, and the days you want to go are often fully booked. 🈵 😭 Opening hours are 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:30 PM), and last tasting orders are usually at 6:00 PM. ⸻ 🌆 Nearby Sightseeing Spots & After-Sightseeing Plans It's fine to just visit the Sapporo Beer Museum, but there are also many other fascinating spots in the surrounding area, so touring them all will be a great way to experience the full experience. Sapporo Factory: A commercial facility built on the site of an old factory, it features brick buildings and chimneys, shops, and cafes. The atmosphere is lovely and photogenic. Odori Park / Sapporo TV Tower: In the heart of the city. It offers a grand view, with beautiful seasonal flowers and illuminations. Nijo Market: This is the place to enjoy seafood and local ingredients. It's a popular spot for breakfast and snacks. JR Tower Observation Deck: Enjoy panoramic views of the nightscape and cityscape, especially in the evening!

🍻 Crack open Sapporo’s best-kept secrets with a frothy, fun, and flavor-packed adventure at the Sapporo Beer Museum & Beer Garden! 🍻🏭 Dive into Japan’s beer culture as you sip, savor, and soak in the local history and vibe. Begin at the Sapporo Beer Museum (9 Chome-1-1 Kita 7 Johigashi). Stroll through historic brewing halls, spot vintage brewing tanks, and unearth stories from Japan’s first beer pioneers. Must-do: sample the original Sapporo drafts at the tasting counter—they truly live up to their legendary reputation (seriously, some of the freshest and most delicious beer I’ve ever tried!). Insta-worthy: snap shots against the retro brick façade and old copper kettles for that classic brewery mood. Then, wander next door to the Sapporo Beer Garden (9 Chome-2-10 Kita 7 Johigashi). Nothing beats pairing Sapporo’s crisp brews with its signature “Genghis Khan” lamb BBQ. The rustic wooden hall and huge beer mugs practically beg for a group toast photo—try for a shot under the beautiful arched ceiling. Don’t miss the seasonal and limited-edition beers on draft. Tips: Arrive around opening for fewer crowds and chill vibes. Combine both locations for a half-day experience. If alcohol isn’t your thing, the museum offers great history and guided tours too. Precaution: Last admission to the museum at 17:30—time your visit if you want both experiences. Drink responsibly, especially if traveling alone. #Sapporo #BeerCulture #JapanTravel #FoodieAdventure #HistoricGems
