1. Maruyama Zoo Recommended point: I went because I heard you could see polar bears swimming, but unfortunately when I went in the afternoon, I couldn't see them swimming at all. Apparently you could see them swimming in the morning, so maybe if I'd gone earlier, I could have seen them. It was fun to see so many animals. Rating: 3 2. Malai Recommended point: A soup curry restaurant. The flavor was strong and very delicious. It was very crowded at lunchtime. Rating: 4 3. Maruyama Zoo in Sapporo Recently, the exhibit facilities have been renovated and there are more behavioral exhibits! You can see the animals moving from various angles. I recommend the hippos and elephants. You can also see feedings at the Children's Zoo if you time it right. If you want to know the times, please be brave and ask the staff! There are many exhibits that are easy for children to see, and strollers are available for rental. There is also a space for diaper frogs in the restrooms! In addition to the stairs, there are also slopes and hills to make it easy to get around with a stroller. There is a restaurant in the facility, but before COVID, there was also a space to lay out a picnic sheet, so it is recommended to bring or buy a lunch box and relax. There are also many playground equipment near the west gate that children will love. It was an attractive playground equipment that we played with for longer than we spent watching the animals!
