High Value-for-Money Sapporo Onsen Ryokan with Free Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream

On the last day in Sapporo, we planned a brief stay before leaving Japan early the next morning from New Chitose Airport, so we chose to stay at the high value-for-money Onsen Ryokan Yuen Sapporo. It's a 5-minute drive from Sapporo Station and a 12-minute walk, which is very convenient for friends catching the JR train. I didn't have high expectations initially, just thought of having a simple overnight stay. The hotel leans towards a refined small-scale Japanese onsen ryokan ambiance but is cleaner and more proper due to its urban location, with better flow, service, and design. The hotel's second floor has its own onsen area, which is even larger than the one at the ryokan we stayed at in Otaru. After soaking in the onsen, there's free Hokkaido milk ice cream. The restaurant on the first floor also serves Japanese breakfast daily, which needs to be reserved in advance at the front desk. Although it was a brief stay, the experience was more comfortable and relaxing than I imagined, and I would consider staying again. There's a FamilyMart downstairs, and it's also convenient to walk to the shopping district center. p.s.
