Ancient Long Bridge in Sanyuan, Shaanxi

Wengong Chongren Bridge (also known as Ancient Long Bridge) in Sanyuan was built in 1591 and completed in 12 years. The bridge is 110 meters long, 11 meters wide, and 26 meters high. It is a three-hole arch bridge with a large hole in the middle and small holes on both sides. The large hole has a pointed arch top, and the whole bridge is built with stone hooks and iron pliers, bluestone, and stone seams bonded with glutinous rice and lime juice. The stone railings on both sides of the bridge are carved with the Twenty-four Filial Piety. The ancient Long Bridge is magnificent and exceptionally strong.
