Sanya in February is absolutely stunning!!

Sanya at this time of year is truly amazing. After the Lunar New Year and the start of the school term, the crowds thin out, the weather is sunny, the temperature is just right, and the breeze is incredibly comfortable. But don't come to Sanya without doing your research! I've put together some travel tips and things to avoid, so you can have a great time in Sanya! The temperature in Sanya these days is around 20–25 degrees Celsius, which feels very comfortable. You can wear short sleeves during the day and add a light jacket in the morning and evening if you get cold easily. No need to pack a lot of clothes. 2. If you have a flexible budget, go for a hotel in Haitang Bay/Yalong Bay. The hotel facilities are new and comprehensive, and the service is excellent! For better value, stay in Dadonghai. If you want to be close to the airport/station, stay in Sanya Bay. 3. You don't need a guided tour in Sanya, especially a cheap one. Considering that flights and hotels take up most of the budget, you can imagine the remaining itinerary arrangements—a pure waste of time. The food is also mediocre, and they take you to free scenic spots and shopping areas. If you don't buy anything, the tour guide gives you a hard time. 4. The 108-meter-high Guanyin statue at Nanshan Temple is truly awe-inspiring. You can pray for blessings here. There's a place where incense is provided for free, so you don't need to bring your own. The scenic spot is huge, so it's recommended to take the sightseeing bus. 5. To get to Coconut Dream Corridor, navigate to "Sanya Bay Parking Lot No. 5". There are large coconut groves and lawns, very lush, and most importantly, there are few people. Watching the sunset there is absolutely breathtaking. 6. Don't go to Luhuitou Park during the day. It's too sunny and not very scenic! The best way to experience it is to go up at night and enjoy the night view of Sanya. 7. I don't recommend going to Tianya Haijiao (Ends of the Earth) if the weather is bad. On a sunny day, it's a great place for taking photos. There are many homestays and cafes that are also very photogenic. 8. Don't buy tickets for the aquarium at Atlantis right away. Go down the stairs in the hotel lobby, and there's a wall where you can see marine animals for free. I personally think it's enough for taking photos. 9. There are many night markets in Sanya. Linwang Night Market and Ganghua Night Market are popular with locals, with many local snacks and cheap prices. They are good places to buy fruit. No. 1 Market is a long-standing night market with a large clothing mall on the second floor. I bought my cheap beach dress there. 10. There's no need to go to the Yiheng Night Market for seafood. The roads are crowded, prices are high, and they sell things you can find at other night markets. The food isn't great either, with more shells than meat in the seafood dishes. The service can't keep up with the crowds, and they rush you to pay before you've even finished your meal. A regular snack starts at 35 RMB, which is outrageous. The fruit is okay, though. 11. And of course, there are tons of delicious foods: shaved ice, "Dad's Tea", pandan bhua, skewers, and Yacheng tofu. For main courses, you can't miss coconut chicken and rice wine hot pot. At Lao Anong, you can get a two-in-one pot with both coconut chicken and rice wine hot pot, so you don't have to eat them separately. Super convenient!
