A stunning pool, the prime sunset beach, Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort & Spa

Every day, light spills over the sea, and every moment is brilliantly radiant. On the second weekend of my trip to Hainan, I encountered a breathtaking sunset at the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort & Spa. Amidst the changing light and shadows, it was as if the poetry of heaven was rippling over the snow-white waves. Opened in 2023, the Grand Hyatt Haitang Bay should be the newest five-star hotel in Hainan. From the hotel's balcony, one can clearly see West Island, and it's only a few minutes' drive from the Ends of the Earth. The hotel's design incorporates traditional Li ethnic elements into modern fashion, pleasing to the eye. At the bedside, there are not only USB ports but also TYPE-C fast charging ports, and a variety of drinks such as coconut juice and tamarind juice are delivered daily. The Hyatt hotel, enjoying its own tranquil bay, boasts a gorgeous sunset beach and a rocky coastline, each sunset worthy of a romantic pursuit. That day, I leaned against the rocks, the waves rolling with the music, repeatedly crashing against the rocks. On the other side of the sea was a dazzling orange, the sun's last affection for the day. Soon, as the sun sank into the sea and the moon and stars rose, they brought with them a slightly drunken glow of twilight. Planes flew overhead from time to time, just like in a comic book, carrying countless aspirations to this place. Even more comic-like is the Hyatt's 1000 square meter outdoor pool, whose imaginative design perfectly blends Li ethnic art with contemporary aesthetics, integrating the sea into the hotel itself. Standing in the hotel lobby or the guest pavilion, it's hard to distinguish between the sea and the hotel, life and dreams are so closely aligned. At night, the lights illuminate the pool, making it shine like a piece of art, no wonder everyone who comes here falls in love with the place. I've had Wenchang chicken from Hainan many times, but the jelly sauce version I had at the Hyatt's cafe was quite a surprise. The sour plum steamed yellow croaker was also uniquely flavorful, fresh and juicy. At the same time, the guest pavilion's ingredients are also exquisite, whether it's the various quality teas in the afternoon or the Heineken beer at dinner, they are the best partners for 'wasting time'. If you entrust your worries to the sea, next year will still welcome the blooming flowers. I am still intoxicated by that evening's sunset, and for the Hyatt hotel, I think, there will surely be a next time.
