Overpriced restrictive island in Sanya

Went here at spring festival time. It costs 140 to get to the island on a boat and you pay extra for everything on the island. Swimming is restricted to a tiny section on one beach. Swimming is not allowed in other sections of the island, in fact, there is a wall which is guarded and only a small section of the island can be visited unless you pay extra to take a tour (which takes you to the smaller island named Niuwangdao)... Foreigners have to register on arrival at the island, so you need to take an ID with you when you buy tickets at the port. If you've travelled to other parts of Asia, like Thailand or Malaysia, and you like the beach cultures in those countries, you will not enjoy this island wokokok. #themepark#zoo#nationalpark#lakes#beaches
