Friendly hotels in Santorini

#SignUpHotelTester We stayed in Santorini for three nights, staying in two hotels. The first night was a more expensive cave hotel, and then we moved to this hotel. Although this one didn't have a sea view and only had a small view of the Blue Domed Church of Santorini, the reception and bell boy were much friendlier. The receptionist had a warm smile, and the bell boy happily carried our luggage from our previous hotel nearby to Museum Project Oia. On our departure day, he even carried our luggage to the bus station. They also prepared a hearty breakfast for us, and once it was ready, they knocked on our door and invited us to enjoy it by the pool. The hotel room was a bit small, not quite wide enough for a full opening. There was a small table filled with a coffee machine, kettle, cups, phone, and more. You had to be extra careful when using it, as it might cause a domino effect and knock everything over. Thankfully, we chose to have breakfast by the pool instead of in the room. I can't imagine dining in the room. The electrical switches on each side of the bed were different. There's a wardrobe near the door. The bathroom is a bit small. The stand-up bathtub doesn't have a shower curtain or any glass, so showering gets the entire bathroom wet. There's a small window facing the back street, but it won't close properly, so you can clearly hear the noise from the street. Thankfully, there weren't any cars approaching, but there were pedestrians occasionally passing by, so it wasn't too noisy. The hotel provides personal toiletries, by the famous Greek brand Korres! There's no direct access from the hotel room to the pool. We had to walk to a crowded shopping street, turn a corner, and walk down a small alley to reach the pool. So, swimming in just a swimsuit and bathrobe was a bit awkward and inconvenient, requiring full clothing. But then, walking from the busy shopping street to the quiet pool, I felt so comfortable lying on a large round outdoor chair, gazing at the cloudless sky, watching kittens pass by, and listening to the chirping of birds. The pool isn't heated, though. We stayed in June and still found the water quite cold. While breakfast wasn't a buffet, it was quite generous. Each portion included fruit/Greek cheese, omelette/Greek scrambled eggs, two slices of baguette, toast/pancakes, orange juice, and a hot drink. For a woman, it was quite generous; we probably couldn't finish it all, or we might be so full we didn't need lunch. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended. It's conveniently located on the shopping street and less than 10 minutes from the bus stop. The room was also very clean. --------- The Museum Project Oia 📬 Nik.
