Nguyen Thi Loi statue, a female hero in Thanh Hoa, North Vietnam

This is to commemorate the heroine Nguyen Thi Loi, who, as the wife of the Secretary of State, carried more than 30 kilograms of explosives to blow up the French ship Amiot from the night of September 26 to the early morning of September 27, 1950, sinking more than 200 French officers and soldiers. Tons of weapons and military equipment fell into the sea, crushing the French colonists' conspiracy to attack the Thanh-Nghe-Tinh area.
