Benefits in terms of electricity It can produce 560 megawatts of electricity or 2,200 million units per year, which can be sent to provinces in the north, central, east and west, including 36 provinces. In terms of irrigation in the rainy season, the area on the Ping River basin from the dam down to the rice fields can be used for rice farming of approximately 1,500,000 rai. In the dry season, it can help the area in the Chao Phraya Project produce dry season crops of approximately 2,000,000 rai. In terms of transportation, which is the heart of transportation in the central region, a boat with a draft of 2 meters can travel from Nakhon Sawan Province to Hot District, Chiang Mai Province, a distance of 400 kilometers. This dam can store up to 12,200 million cubic meters of water. It may be able to retain the water that flows in the rainy season, which will help alleviate flooding.
