Wat Bot, Uthai Thani

Wat Uposatharam #Wat Uposatharam is located on the banks of the Sakae Krang River. It was built in the late Thonburi and early Rattanakosin periods (1781). It was originally called "Wat Bot Manorom" and the locals called it "Wat Bot". It is a temple with a very important history in Uthai Thani Province. When viewed from the Mueang District side, you will see an octagonal pavilion standing prominently on the riverside. It is a beautiful blend of Thai and Western architecture. Nearby are three great stupas from three eras, alongside the main chapel and vihara. Inside are murals from the early Rattanakosin period. It is currently registered as an ancient site by the Fine Arts Department. At the pier in front of the temple, there is a floating chapel, which was once used to welcome King Rama V when he visited the northern cities and traveled.
