A 12th-century stone-built church in England’s smallest city

#September Good Places 2025 St Davids (City of St Davids) is the smallest city in England in southwest Wales, part of the county of Pembrokeshire. Why is it called a city? Because of the high religious status of St Davids Cathedral, the memorial site of St David, the patron saint of Wales, it is called a city even if the place is small. The church is magnificent, built in the 12th century, stone building, antique. It contains many historical artifacts, as well as the tomb of St David. The surroundings are quiet and green, perfect for hiking, taking photos and relaxing. St Davids is not just a church, nearby Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the coastline is beautiful, some cliffs, sand, sea breeze, strong feel. In the summer you can also see seabirds and walk the Coastal Path.
