There's some internet access, so you can spend some time alone, listening to the birdsong and the flowing water. It's very enjoyable. 🍀🕊 🕍Behind the accommodation, there's a path to the Mon village where you can observe the Mon way of life. This village has about 30 families, living without electricity, or some with solar power. Next, you'll find a Mon temple with a replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Golden Rock. Most of the Mon people here, when they're not working in the city, grow vegetables and sell cocoa. There's a language school for children on Saturdays and Sundays, with morning and afternoon sessions lasting approximately 1.5 hours. 🛶 🚗To get here, park your car at Phutakian Pier. The boat ride takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on the schedule. Boats depart every hour from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The return trip is from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Breakfast and dinner are served, so you can enjoy a full meal. 🍤🍳🥐 🌤🌟Even though there's no electricity, the morning and night air is wonderful, with a cool breeze and a slight chill. Anyone passing through Sai Yok should definitely stop by to recharge their batteries and take in the fresh air.
