Mallika Town is a retro town of the Siamese way of life in the Chao Phraya River basin. During the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), the lifestyle of the Siamese people in the R.S. 124 era changed in many ways. The most obvious one was the announcement of the abolition of slavery. When the slaves were freed, they had to live and earn a living by themselves. They were no longer under the control or care of the lords. They had to survive, rely on themselves, and live together with all Siamese people. These changes in lifestyle are considered important roots of the Thai people in the present era. Mallika Town is located at the entrance to Prasat Muang Singh, next to the Bangchak gas station, Tambon Singh, Amphoe Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi Province, 32 km from Kanchanaburi town.
