The Early Bird Catches the Dawn

It's almost ironic how Sagada is up in the mountains, yet one of the best things to do there is hiking a mountain. Preparation for us began as early as 4:00 in the morning. We were driven to the jumpoff site and started an hour-long traverse to Kiltepan Peak. I had time to set up my camera to record the sun as it rises while taking photos and also eating breakfast that I have not found anywhere else but Sagada, a cocoa-free champorado (sticky rice porridge). Don't worry, the prize of the laborious hike doesn't end when the sun has fully risen. We also stopped by Echo Valley and Sagada Blue Soil Hills.
