Sagada’s Twin Hills: Try to Catch the Sunrise

-> Marlboro Hill and Blue Soil Hill Trekking these 2 hills requires a 4am wake up to catch the shuttle bus to the bottom of Marlboro Hill. A 1 hour trek up a gradual climb takes you to the top where you’ll hope to see the sunrise! But be wary of the classic morning fog that stopped us seeing a clear sunrise. A stall at the top also sells coffee if you need that extra boost! On the way down, see the fog give way to a beautiful pine forest and the trademark Blue Soil Hill. Copper deposits inside the soil give it this unique colour. Multiple stalls selling small bites can be found along the way. Return to the shuttle bus around 9am and head back to town for a well deserved rest! Cost: 2900 pesos which for us was split between 8 people. If you’re travelling alone or in a small group make sure to ask to join an existing bigger group!
