The first attraction was St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, which was pretty nice but closed. The next stop was the City Hall, where we took photos and left. We passed by the Christmas market 🎄, which was lively and the air was filled with the smell of red wine 🍷. We passed by several churches (I felt they were all Catholic churches, I don’t dare to say anything without doing any research, hahaha), and headed to Saarbrücken Castle 🏰, a tourist attraction on Google Maps. After arriving, I found that I couldn't find the so-called castle. I saw a Saarland History Museum. The student ticket was 4 Euros. After entering, I learned that the castle here had been destroyed and rebuilt several times. Now only the ruins are left, and you can still vaguely see its former tenacious appearance. 🕋Recommend the History Museum. It was incorporated into the territory of Prussia in 1815. In 1870, during the Franco-Prussian War, Prussia pushed the border to Metz in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France. In 1918, Germany was defeated in World War I and became independent. In fact, it was taken over by France. In 1935, 90% of voters in a referendum supported joining Nazi Germany. In the same year, Hitler came to visit.
