One Village, Two Countries (Ruili, Yunnan, 4A)

The border between China and Myanmar in Ruili is winding and jagged, with no obvious boundary. Sometimes, a small ditch or a ridge is the border between the two countries. At the One Village, Two Countries scenic spot in Yinjing, if it weren't for the majestic national gate and the border guards on the Chinese side, as well as the national flag and the immigration office on the Myanmar side, you wouldn't even realize that this is the border between two countries. The border residents of the two countries come and go freely, riding motorcycles, bicycles, or tractors, just like any other place. The One Swing, Two Countries swing in the village is located next to the border, facing the Mangxiu Village in Myanmar. Sitting on it and swinging gently, you can "go abroad" in an instant. One Village, Two Countries is located about 10 km from Ruili, next to the famous No. 71 boundary marker on the China-Myanmar border. The border divides a Dai village into two parts, with the Chinese side called Yinjing and the Myanmar side called Mangxiu. The scenic area includes attractions such as the One Village, Two Countries well and the One Swing, Two Countries swing. The One Swing, Two Countries swing is located next to the border, facing the Mangxiu Village in Myanmar. Sitting on it and swinging gently, you can "go abroad" in an instant. There is no natural barrier at the border, so it is common for Chinese melon vines to climb onto the bamboo fences in Myanmar and for Myanmar hens to lay eggs in Chinese homes. The people of the two countries in the village speak the same language and have the same customs. They walk the same road, drink from the same well, and go to the same market. They live in harmony, generation after generation, and have become a legend.
