Dushan Mountain, Yulin: A natural wonder that will take your breath away

Guangxi is home to many natural wonders, and Dushan Mountain is a hidden gem located about 13 km from the ancient city of Rongzhou in the suburbs of Yulin's Rong County. The mountain is not crowded with tourists, but the scenery is stunning. The mountain is surrounded by towering peaks, lush forests, and emerald lakes that are like jewels set among the strange peaks and rocks. Dushan Mountain is a typical Danxia landform, similar in style to Wuyi Mountain, Danxia Mountain, and Longhu Mountain, but with more compact attractions that can be visited in half a day. The highest altitude here is 743 meters, with tranquil villages at the foot of the mountain and a high forest coverage rate in the mountains, providing fresh air that is refreshing. The most delightful thing is that the daytime temperature in winter can still reach above 20 degrees Celsius, which is very comfortable. Dushan Mountain is also a sacred place for Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, with strange peaks, many caves, secluded valleys, and dangerous paths. Liu Gen, Hua Ziqi, and Ge Hong all practiced here during the Han and Jin dynasties, and Xu Xiake left his handwriting on the mountain, while Su Dongpo left behind legends. The huge "Buddha" character on Qingshou Rock is a classic attraction in the scenic area, standing 108 meters high and 88 meters wide, and was personally inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu. Qingshou Rock is the final stop of the sightseeing bus, and the lawn in front of the giant Buddha character is a popular photo spot. Along the hiking trail, you can see the remains of the Five Hundred Arhats Hall and other relics, with ancient temples deep in the mountains that are solemn and majestic, surrounded by vegetation, like a paradise on earth. The scenic area has multiple attractions, and it is recommended to take the sightseeing bus for transportation. Nowadays, the cable car makes it easier and faster to reach the top of the mountain, providing an immersive viewing experience that makes the journey more enjoyable.
