Time-travel in Rome

Castel San't Angelo (Mausoleum of Hadrian) is one of the must-visit places in Rome. I would definitely recommend first-time traveller to include this site in the itinerary. It is easy to spot it among the buildings in Rome because of its imposing and towering cylindrical shape, located exactly eastwards from the Vatican City. This is a building that has witnessed so much changes that have been happening in Rome throughout the history. While visiting the Castel, it is as if you are time-traveling from the Roman Empire to the modern days. Originally built as the mausoleum for the Roman Empire, it also served as a fortress, palace and prison. Even the Popes used to live here! #celebratewithtrip #rome
