Curia Julia

#romanforum The Curia Julia, one of the best-preserved buildings in the Roman Forum, was the Senate House of ancient Rome. Built by Julius Caesar and later completed by Augustus, it was the heart of Roman politics. Unlike many ruins in the Forum, the Curia retains much of its original structure, allowing visitors to step inside and imagine senators debating Rome’s fate. The interior is simple but powerful, with its vast hall and marble floors evoking the grandeur of Rome’s political past. For those interested in ancient governance, this is a must-see site, offering an authentic glimpse into Roman power.
