Palatine Hill

Palatine Hill is a quadrilateral hill located about 40 meters (131 feet) south of the Roman Forum. It is about 51 meters (168 feet) above sea level and about 1,740 meters (5,700 feet) in circumference. The city of Rome was built on this hill, and archaeological discoveries on the hill include both prehistoric remains and the ruins of imperial palaces. The terrain of Palatine Hill is complex and the scenery is pleasant. Although the hill is desolate, it is beautified by the garden plants that are planted there.
