Galang island, Riau Archipelago🌊

Galang Island is an island in the government area of Batam City, Riau Islands province, which is the third large island chain connected by six Barelang bridges. This island is famous for its large-scale Vietnamese refugee camps in 1979–1996 and became the focus of the United Nations and international circles. The Galang refugee camp is now a tourist and historical attraction for the city of Batam, because of its relatively close distance to Batam Island (around 7 km).#triplocal
