Good places to go in March｜Old Port, Rhode Island

This port was built in 408 BC, and you can feel the strong historical atmosphere as soon as you step into its entrance. Here once stood the bronze statue of the sun god, one of the seven wonders of the world. The statue is about 33 meters high and is a symbol of the Greek sun god Helios. Sadly, this magnificent bronze statue was destroyed in an earthquake in 226 BC, 56 years after its completion. Today, although the Colossus no longer exists, the majestic statue of Athena, the quaint windmill, the solemn Evangelical Church, the magnificent town hall and the concert hall full of artistic atmosphere are still preserved beside the harbor.
