There are many islands in Greece, and many of the less popular islands don't even have many guides. The ancient city of Rhodes technically consists of three separate areas, but visitors may rarely notice the differences between them. To the north, there are the straight streets of the Knight's Quarter, which was founded by the Knights of St. John in the Middle Ages. To the south, there is Hora, also the Turkish Quarter, which is full of dense cobblestone alleys and is the center of the old city. Restaurants and shops are next to each other, as well as abandoned mosques and Muslim historical relics. The Jewish Quarter in the southeast lost most of its residents in World War II and is now a quiet area. After getting off the bus, you can see the thick city walls surrounding the old city after a few steps. Enter from the nearest city gate (Gate of Freedom) and walk a few steps to the main attractions in the ancient city. The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes will probably be the first attraction you will visit. Single tickets are 6 euros per person, and a pass is 10 euros per person. The pass also allows you to visit the Grand Palace of the Knights Templar. It is recommended to purchase the pass.
