Ring Road

#travelanywhere The Ring Road, also known as Route 1, is Iceland's main national road that circles the entire country. Covering approximately 1,332 kilometers (828 miles), it connects most of the inhabited parts of Iceland and provides access to many of the country's most popular attractions. The Ring Road passes through a diverse range of landscapes, including mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, volcanic fields, and coastal areas. Key attractions along the route include the Golden Circle, Vatnajökull National Park, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, and the town of Akureyri in the north.
