Wat Pa Pradu

Wat Pa Pradu is a third-class royal temple in Rayong Province. It was originally called "Wat Pa Lelai" and is located in Rayong Municipality, Sukhumvit Road. It is an old temple, believed to have been built during the Ayutthaya period. It was elevated to royal temple status in 1990. The old temple houses a reclining Buddha image lying on its left side. Normally, a reclining Buddha image is placed on its right side. The temple also has an old chapel that is over a hundred years old, which was moved from its old location. You can crawl under the chapel for good luck. There is also an ancient sacred well in the middle of the temple. The distinctive feature of the reclining Buddha image lying on its left side is that it supports its head with its left hand. Judging from the hair, hairline, and robes, it is believed to have been built during the Ayutthaya period. It is considered one of the oldest Buddha images in Rayong. Wat Pa Pradu was elevated to royal temple status in 1990.
