Snake Mountain Park

Khao Ngu Stone Park is about 8 kilometers from Ratchaburi Province, Tambon Ko Plap Phla, Mueang District, Ratchaburi Province. It used to be an important source of blasting and crushing rocks in Thailand since the early Rattanakosin period because it was good quality cement. Later, both the government and the public saw the deterioration of the landscape and the scenery. In addition, Khao Ngu is an ancient religious site. Therefore, the concession for blasting and crushing rocks in this area was cancelled. After the concession was cancelled, Khao Ngu became an abandoned mine and was in a state of disrepair. Ratchaburi Province therefore developed Khao Ngu into a public park and tourist attraction. Archaeologists have created a large stone Buddha statue that covers the entire cliff face. It was created by shooting a laser beam down the cliff face. Inside Khao Ngu Stone Park, there are many archaeological tourist attractions. These are caves on the mountain, including Rishi Cave, Fa Tho Cave, and Chin-Cham Cave. Each cave is not far from each other, but you have to walk up a fairly high staircase to get to it.
