Yan Temple

Yan Temple, also known as Fusheng Temple, is located at the north end of Louxiang Street in Qufu City, Shandong Province, and the date of its establishment is unknown. At the end of Yuan Dade (1307), the old temple was burned down and moved to the former residence of Yan Hui in Louxiang. In the first year of Zhihe (1328), the new Yan Temple was completed. The most recent renovation was at the end of 2009. Yan Temple is a temple for worshiping Yan Hui, a virtuous disciple of Confucius. Yan Hui, whose name is Yuan, a man from the State of Lu, was one of Confucius' most proud disciples, known for his virtue.
