The first person to open a coffee shop here must be a genius

This is Quanzhou's Overseas Chinese Commodity City. At first, I thought it was a place to buy small items like Yiwu toys and such. But when I went there, I found it’s like Quanzhou’s version of "Huaqiangbei," selling digital products, phone accessories, and more. It’s a place like that, hiding several interesting coffee shops, vintage toy stores, and thrift shops (mostly on the second floor). The old architectural style, spiral staircases, give off a millennium-era vibe. There are very few people here, no tourist noise. It’s perfect for friends who like street photography or vintage atmospheres. When I arrived, it was already noon. Shop owners were cooking and eating in the corridors, which really gives off a local life vibe. You don’t have to check in at every store. Just casually stroll around, find a coffee shop to sit in the sun, listen to music, and it’s already great~ Here are a few interesting shops I recommend: 🫟 Beaver Coffee Enter the main door and go up to the second floor to see it. The owner is interesting, talkative, and a fan of Jay Chou and Mayday (he even looks like a beaver 😆). You can chat, bask in the sun, daydream, and even do pull-ups haha. It seems to be the best spot for sunbathing in the shop. 🎪 Muggle Store On the second floor, it’s packed with tons of small toys and various cartoon and anime characters. Very fun! Small but well-equipped, I spent 26 yuan on a Mickey keychain, which felt very special—I really wanted to own it at that moment!!! The store also offers instant camera services. 🎞️ Whisper Shutter Near the sign that says “Hostel,” about halfway in, there’s a staircase to the third floor. They sell vintage clothes, accessories, and various film cameras.
