Overcast in late October, I lounged like an immortal in Quanzhou

They say Quanzhou is "half city of fireworks, half city of immortals," but in the off-season of late October, Quanzhou is truly a hidden treasure for long-term travelers! With no scorching sun on the cloudy days and temperatures around 20°C, a light jacket is just right, making strolling through the ancient city completely comfortable and not sticky. The best part was choosing the right guesthouse—Quanzhou Yike Guesthouse · Tiantai Branch 2—perfectly combining "comfortable stay" and "convenient play"! The location is truly amazing! It’s right behind Kaiyuan Temple. Walking to West Street, the Bell Tower, and Zhongshan Road all takes less than 10 minutes. If you don’t want to walk, you can easily catch the "Xiaobai" sightseeing car at the corner for just 2 yuan, leisurely touring every corner of the ancient city. No worries about food either! A 5-minute walk to West Street, where you can enjoy taro cakes, fried rice cakes, sweet and sour pork, ginger duck, oyster omelets, and tubeworm jelly... from breakfast to late-night snacks, my mouth never stopped. The biggest surprise was the rooftop terrace of the guesthouse! In the evening, I moved a chair there, facing the East Pagoda of Kaiyuan Temple. Below were the sounds of street vendors, bicycles, and electric scooters mingling in the lively city atmosphere. At that moment, I truly felt that the meaning of "living as a traveler" is just like this~ Plus, the alley was especially quiet, with no noise at night, so I slept very soundly. Off-season Quanzhou has no crowded crowds, only a slow-paced lifestyle. Staying here, eating and exploring every day, I really don’t want to leave!
