Spending an evening on a Quanzhou layover? Here's what to do!

Quanzhou is a potential layover stop for other Chinese destinations, especially if you travel on XiamenAir. We spent an evening there this week and were pleasantly surprised by what it offered! Arriving at 4PM, after checking in to our free XiamenAir transit hotel, we headed straight to the city's temple worshipping Guan Yu, popular with locals and famed for its fortune lots. We then visited the Qingjing Mosque just beside, an oasis of serenity built in 1009. Feeling hungry, we ate some ginger duck nearby, before making our way to Zhongshan Street and West Street, which had us see not just Quanzhou's clock tower along the way, but also the majestic Kaiyuan Temple and many amazing food stalls. Quanzhou was a pleasant surprise on our Xinjiang trip (which we booked from Singapore on trip.com for less than 300 SGD) and we are happy to recommend everything on offer there! #quanzhou #fujian #china #travel
