Originally it was not in my itinerary, when I visited the Memorial Hall of Master Hongyi in Kaiyuan Temple, I learned that after the master passed away on October 13, 1942, he was reincarnated in Chengtian Temple, so I left Kaiyuan Temple and went to Chengtian Temple along West Street. 🌸Chengtian Temple, a Zen temple, was built during the Xiande period of the Later Zhou Dynasty of the Five Dynasties (AD 954-959), and was named Yuetai Chengtian Zen Temple by the court in the fourth year of the Southern Song Dynasty Jingde, and has the reputation of 'the first temple in southern Fujian'. 👉The narrow and quiet corridor is located in a bustling residential area, on one side of the corridor is the Seven Buddha Stone Pagoda created by Zen Master Zuzhen during the Song Shaoxing period, which seems to remind me that I have arrived at Chengtian Temple. ⤴️Turning into the small mountain gate, the spacious courtyard, tall and solemn buildings, dense trees inside, form a strong contrast with the 'narrowness' outside the mountain gate.
