This Lunar New Year, I traveled with friends to Qiongzhong during the off-season. In Limushan Forest Park, I unexpectedly found a place that looks like an alien planet! The Limushan Stone Mortars were formed by long-term water erosion and are a unique geological relic in the river valley landscape. The Stone Mortar Cluster is a 200-meter-long riverbed at the headwaters of the north branch of the Wanquan River. There are 176 naturally formed stone mortars of various sizes in the riverbed. These stone mortars are highly ornamental, with diverse shapes and ingenious workmanship. They are also of great value for sightseeing and scientific research. This geological phenomenon is extremely rare in China! 📍How to get there? You must drive yourself! Public transportation is not convenient! The mountain roads in Qiongzhong are narrow with many curves, and they are all one-way lanes. It is not recommended for novice drivers. Navigate to "Limushan Stone Mortar Scenic Spot." It takes about 2.5 hrs from Haikou and about 3 hrs from Sanya. 💰Ticket price Limushan tickets are 20/person, which allows you to visit all the attractions in Limushan, and there is no additional parking fee.
