Parts of it are submerged below sea level, and you can still see the granite foundations immersed in the sea. • Chenghai Tower: The highest point of Old Dragon's Head. Qing Dynasty emperors Kangxi and Qianlong ascended it many times. The tower displays cultural relics unearthed in the Old Dragon's Head area. • Ninghai City: The most complete and largest Ming Dynasty military camp still existing in China. It includes buildings such as Longwu Camp, the Guard Office, and the Xiangong Ancestral Hall. • Sea God Temple: Built in honor of the Sea God, the temple features a simple and elegant architectural style, complementing the vast sea. Activities • Watch performances: During specific festivals or events, the scenic area hosts performances such as dragon dances and intangible cultural heritage displays. • Sunrise at sea: On clear days, you can watch the sunrise over the sea at Old Dragon's Head and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the "red sun bathing the sea." Food After your visit, enjoy local specialties near the scenic area, such as seafood, Sitiaobaozi (four-striped buns), and Bolo Ye Bing (herbal sticky rice cakes). Suggested route Enter through the north gate of the scenic area, visit Ninghai City first, then pass by Chenghai Tower, the Into-the-Sea Stone City, and Nanhaikou Pass. Follow the seaside walking path to the Sea God Temple, and finally exit through the west gate.
