Qingzhou Ancient City: A Fusion of Cultures!

On a business trip to Guangrao County, Shandong, I passed through Qingzhou and took a quick tour of Qingzhou Ancient City. I entered through the east gate of the ancient city, walked along the stone road (Nanying Street) to Fucheng Gate, took an electric sightseeing car to the old locust tree, then walked around and returned to Fucheng Gate. The main road of the ancient city is wide, with shops and houses lining the streets, and tall and majestic archways. The Western-style Christian and Catholic churches, and the Chinese-style Peizhen Academy and Ou Garden, are a fusion of cultures. Finally, I climbed up to Fucai Gate and looked back at the ancient city: archways and churches, streets and alleys, people and cars, and the smoke and fire continue the traditional culture of ancient Qingzhou. Qingzhou is one of the nine ancient states, "Haida is Qingzhou"; it is said that during the Xia and Shang dynasties, there were Dongyi tribes and Fangguo in the Qingzhou area, which was the main birthplace of Dongyi culture; during the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was once the capital of the Southern Yan Kingdom. Qingzhou has a profound cultural heritage and is the first 5A ancient city in Shandong.
