Qingdao — "Our Little Sister"

Walking to the end of the alley, the sea suddenly comes into view. These winding roads are like the arms of the sea stretching out, gently embracing the warmth of the red tiles, the dampness of the moss, and the everyday life of the people. 💙 What’s the first stop when you arrive in Qingdao? Of course, it’s feeding the seagulls at the Zhanqiao Pier! Standing on the pier, you can feel the sea breeze blowing in your face, watching flocks of seagulls flying under the blue sky, instantly relaxing your mood ✌️ 🏨 I recommend staying at Nihao Hotel (Qingdao Zhanqiao Train Station Branch), the location is super convenient! You can walk to Zhanqiao Pier from the hotel and also explore the surrounding old town. The rooms are new and very clean, and I especially love their laundry room with a dryer—perfect for a seaside trip~ Day 1 Recommended Route: 1️⃣ Zhongshan Park: It’s especially pleasant to take a morning stroll here. The park is huge, so you can take your time to enjoy Qingdao’s slow pace of life. Be sure to visit during the cherry blossom season in April—it’s stunning! 2️⃣ Dabao Island Cultural and Leisure Street: Perfect for lunch! The trendy restaurants and cafes in the old buildings are very unique. Don’t miss trying Qingdao’s traditional snacks from long-established brands! 3️⃣ Qinyu Road: Evening is the best time for a walk here! This road looks just like a scene from a comic book, every snapshot is a masterpiece. At the end of the road, you suddenly see the sea—this feeling is so healing~ Day 2 Recommendation: Spend half a day at Liuqing Bay Beach. The sand here is cleaner than in the city, and there are fewer people. It’s great for sunbathing or playing in the water. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen! Tips: - The sea breeze in Qingdao is really strong! Bring a jacket and a hat. - Dabao Island Street has lots of delicious food; go around 11 a.m. to avoid the lunch rush. - There are many craft stalls near Zhanqiao Pier—remember to bargain! - For a quiet sea view, head to the small, less crowded viewing platform at the end of Qinyu Road. Hidden Food Gems: 1. The spicy stir-fried razor clams at Jiulong Restaurant are a must-order! The two of us finished every last bite. 2. The popular burger joint on Dabao Island has long lines, but it’s definitely worth it. 3. Freshly baked mackerel cakes sold on the street are only 5 yuan each and smell amazing.
