St. Regis Qingdao 1. Overall Environment The hotel is located in a relatively bustling business district. Except for the under-construction building across the street, the surrounding environment is not bad. The exterior and interior of the hotel are well maintained. The furnishings and decorations in the public areas are just right for a light luxury style (not a simple business style, nor a deliberately cheap and flashy style of some hotels). 2. Room I stayed in a Skyline Sea View King Room. One side of the window overlooks the city view of Qingdao and overlooks the May Fourth Square. The other side is a real under-construction building. Try to only look at one side, haha. The room is much more business-like compared to the public area, which can be summarized as simple. There are welcome fruits, evening desserts, and turndown services. The Dyson hair dryer, bathtub, and bathroom wall-mounted TV are all available, which is satisfactory. 3. Dining Breakfast after 9 o'clock is crowded. The staff will guide you to the executive lounge when there is a long queue and remind you that "although there are fewer dishes on the other side, the dishes are more delicate and high-quality". I have eaten on both sides and I think this is a white lie. The executive lounge has limited space, limited tables, and small tables. The dishes are not high-quality, but the quantity is obviously insufficient. It feels like having a fast food in a bar. It is recommended to come early for meals and have a normal breakfast buffet. The variety is rich, and the taste is generally average. As a coastal city, the fried fish is obviously fresher than most hotels. 4. Swimming Pool The swimming pool is clean and the water temperature is just right. The view by the window is good. If you go to take pictures, remember to tell the lifeguard that you are here to take pictures, otherwise you will be repeatedly reminded to wear a swimming cap when swimming (although this action is annoying, it is commendable!) 5. Gym Although the gym is small, it has all the internal organs. Both aerobic and strength exercises can be performed. The air conditioning is very comfortable and it is very quiet because there are few people. Towels, mineral water, and readily available disinfectant wipes are comfortable. 6. Bar The atmosphere is average, but the service attitude is good. I ordered a special Bloody Mary and was sincerely reminded that it might be unacceptable. The wine is cheap and the complimentary snacks are not stingy. In summary, St. Regis Qingdao is a hotel that is ideal in all aspects. It has everything you need for your stay and the service quality is excellent. It is suitable for short-term check-in or long-term business trips.
