Seeking the 'First Longevity in the World' - Laoshan Yangkou Scenic Area

Yangkou Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Laoshan Scenic Area. The scenic area has a mountain cableway, where you can enjoy the Shouzi Peak on the cable car. The 'Shou' character, which is 20 meters high and 16 meters wide, is a work of the Laoshan Scenic Area Management Committee in 1993 imitating the 'Jiucheng Palace Liquan Inscription' by Ouyang Xun, a great calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty. Shen Peng, the deputy chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, wrote the 'First Longevity in the World', and it was also engraved next to the 'Shou'. In 1996, on this basis, the ink traces of 39 famous calligraphers such as Shen Peng, Qi Gong, Huang Miaozhi, Wu Zhongqi, etc., were collected, and various fonts such as Wei, Li, Seal, and Cursive were collected. A group of 'Shou' stone carvings were formed on the stone wall of Taiping Peak, which can be called the 'best of Chinese Shou characters'. (The Yunmen Mountain in the south of Qingzhou, Shandong, is known as the 'First Longevity Mountain in the World', because there is the largest single-character cliff carving in ancient China - the Ming Dynasty 'Shou' cliff carving, the 'Shou' character is 7.5 meters high and 3.7 meters wide). The peaks in the scenic area are steep and the scenery is beautiful. The Lion Peak, known for its 'Lion Ridge Horizontal Cloud', the winding and winding Sky-seeking Cave in the cliff gap, the Dinghai Shenzhen Heavenly Pillar Peak and other attractions are breathtaking. In the Tianyuan on the top of Shangyuan Mountain, you can look far away, the end of the world is within reach, overlooking the Yangkou Beach under the mountain and the distant Yellow Sea, the sea is clear, and the beautiful scenery of the mountains and the sea is in sight.
