A luxury hotel reminiscent of the European Alps❤️

'Alpensia Resort' ⠀ 📍 Pyeongchang-gun Daegwallyeong-myeon Solbong-ro 𝟑𝟐𝟓 🏨 InterContinental Alpensia Pyeongchang Resort 🚪 Standard King 💵 Off-season weekdays about 𝟏𝟎~𝟏𝟓 won ⠀ The name 'Alpensia' is a combination of the European Alps and Asia, so when I visited, the entire resort felt like a mountain lodge surrounded by the Alps. ⠀ Before introducing, I'd like to briefly look at the differences between hotels and resorts. They are similar but strictly different. A hotel is a place where accommodation is the focus. (Usually limited land) A resort is a place where you can enjoy healing and relaxation in nature along with accommodation. ⠀ So Alpensia Resort has various things to enjoy that allow you to relax and have fun. However, as of the month of my visit, many attractions were not operating, so there wasn't much to enjoy. ⠀ One more thing. It is hard to find a large resort like this in Korea where a foreign chain hotel brand is currently located. It was refreshing to be able to meet 𝟑 brands of the 𝐈𝐇𝐆 group in Pyeongchang. Let's take a look at the top brand, InterContinental Pyeongchang. 1️⃣ A hotel perfectly imbued with the colors of Alpensia The InterContinental brand is characterized by its dark brown colors that create an antique, luxurious feel. This sense of heaviness can definitely be felt here in Pyeongchang. Usually, when you think of Pyeongchang, the Olympics come to mind. So Pyeongchang has a strong image of winter. When you enter the InterContinental Hotel in the middle of a cold winter with its heaviness, it is a hotel with a warm and cozy feel where you can relax. ⠀ 2️⃣ The room condition is 𝐒𝐎𝐒𝐎, but it's still good There are a total of 𝟑 Intercontinental hotels in Korea. Among them, Pyeongchang has the best price. Intercontinental brands usually start at around 𝟑𝟎 won. This time, I booked a room in Pyeongchang for around 𝟏𝟎 won. I wonder what the room condition is like. Hmm. I did well not to have high expectations. The hotel as a whole has the color of a luxury brand, but there were some disappointing parts here and there. It definitely feels less competitive than recently built new hotels. The furniture, electronic products, and everything else are old. And the cleanliness is not dirty, but you can see dust here and there. But I'm still satisfied. This oldness brings a classic, antique feel. It's possible to take great photos in various places in the room wearing a clean classic look. ⠀ 3️⃣ Spacious rooms. Luxurious bathroom ⠀ The room size is wide for a basic room. Since it is a resort with a ski resort and various things to do, a small room did not seem to fit the concept. A room where you can relax leisurely. The point here is the bathroom. It gives a warm and stable feeling with natural colors. It feels neat and luxurious. It is also clean. The quality of Intercontinental is felt again in the amenities. ‘𝐁𝐘𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐎’ products. It smells good. ⠀ 💁‍♂️ 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐦_𝐭𝐢𝐦 Overall Review If you visit when the things to do are not open, it can be boring. If you want to enjoy a leisurely rest, it’s okay. It is definitely different from a staycation in the city. If you want to enjoy various things to do but stay at a hotel, this is a resort where you can get both.
