Alpensia Intercontinental Pyeongchang Resort, South Korea

There are many mountains in South Korea, and there are ski resorts everywhere. This hotel is a chain hotel, so I booked the Alpensia Intercontinental Pyeongchang Resort without hesitation. The room is a standard suite with a very square layout. The living room and bedroom are separated. There are two cloakrooms, and the bathroom is very large with a dressing table. The bathtub is big enough for two people. There is a large balcony outside. It should be nice to see the lake view in summer. It was too cold to take photos outside, so I went back inside immediately. Of course, skiing is the main activity here! There were not many people on Monday, so I could ski freely. I took the cable car up the mountain. After stepping on the snowboard, I could slide down, but I couldn't control the direction or stop. I had to fall to stop. It was a painful experience. I fell all the way down. The ski shop in the resort does not rent hats, gloves, helmets, etc. You have to buy them or bring your own. There are also shops around the resort that rent ski equipment, but they are a bit far away. It is a bit inconvenient if you don't drive. Overall, skiing is not very friendly to beginners, and the beginner slope is also steep. It is a good place to vacation in early autumn. In addition to the hotel, you can find Domino's Pizza, Lotte Burger, an Angel-in-us Coffee, a Korean restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, a bar, and Baskin Robbins within a 2-minute walk. There are two CU convenience stores, one of which is very large and well-stocked. If you think the food is expensive, you can eat at the convenience store.
