Punakha Dzong

Punakha Dzong is one of the most important landmarks and tourist attractions of Thimphu. It is located in a serene surroundings. You have to cross the Punakha river on a swinging bridge to reach the fort. The whole place is very majestic and decorative. It is a large space and it takes almost an hour to do even a quick tour of the place. Lake’s water has a beautiful light green shade, you might think the pics are photoshopped but this is the real color. A good time to visit this landmark is in spring time as the place is covered with the purple bloom of jacaranda flowers. #createwithtrip #bhutan #punakha
