Origins of tea....🍵

Obviously, Pu'er is known for its famous tea and the tea-growing areas around it. Therefore, any visit to the city wouldn't be complete without a stop here at the Pu'er Tea Museum. We wanted to learn more about this important commodity, so this museum provided us with the answers. We learned about the various local ethnic groups and their relationships with tea, the history of the local area and the Tea Horse Road and also about the process of making the teas. We went here in the morning and admission was free. The staff were also very nice and polite. Getting here is easy by taxi or private car, although it was basically next to our hotel anyway. It's definitely best to come here and learn about the history before visiting a plantation or the Tea Horse Road, as it definitely adds a perspective on everything and enbables you to better understand everything.
