🌍✈️ Open the Window to the World — Then Get Caught in an Equatorial Rain! ☔️🌴

#springitinerary After a grueling 19 hours and 40 minutes of travel (including a delayed flight), I finally landed at Surabaya Airport just after 7 PM. I hadn’t slept all day, and after hopping off the plane, I still faced a 4-hour drive! Arriving near Sewu Waterfall, I freshened up — it was nearly 2 AM by then. Honestly, before even starting, I already felt like a special forces recruit! 😅💪 🌋 First Stop: Semeru Volcano Town Slept at 2 AM, up again at 5 AM to catch the sunrise. We drove to the foot of Semeru Volcano Town and were greeted by a vast sea of morning mist, lush green rice fields, and winding paths snaking around the volcano 🌾🌫️ The view of Mount Semeru up close was breathtaking — pure nature therapy! Seriously, I felt completely healed by the calm and beauty around me 🌿✨ 💦 Second Stop: Sewu Waterfall After a quick hotel breakfast, we walked to Sewu Waterfall. The hike wasn’t tough at all, but the closer we got, the stronger the waterfall’s wind — so intense it was hard to keep eyes open! For all you photographers, waterproof bags are a must 📸💧 We even crossed the river and climbed around the waterfall — super fun and thrilling!
