I woke up this morning to find a thick fog covering the other side of the sea. The eagerly anticipated dolphin-watching trip was put on hold, as if someone had pressed the pause button. After a two-hour delay, it still couldn't escape being cancelled. At that moment, the helplessness in my heart felt like a throwback to the years of dealing with Ryanair's flight delays, with the waiting and uncertainty vividly in my mind. However, I am not one to give up easily! I switched to another cruise. Although I missed out on meeting dolphins, I could at least witness the unique cave beauty of the seaside. At three in the afternoon, when the fog lifted as if by magic, revealing a clear sky, my mood brightened as well. What surprised me even more was meeting a captain who could speak Chinese. His casual remark lit up my entire trip: 'The water is so cold now, the dolphins are all hiding.' Hearing this in my ears felt so intimate. Hearing the language of home while far away is just wonderful, isn't it? It felt like I had waited for the clouds to part and the sun to shine, and I even unexpectedly saved five euros! The delicious prawn pasta I had for lunch seemed even more fragrant because of this. I know in my heart that this might just be a simple business tactic—the small boat didn't have a dolphin route at all. But hearing the captain say so made me feel inexplicably content.
