A Foodie’s Journey in Klang

Klang, often hailed as a food paradise, draws food hunters from all over—and we were no exception. Our day trip was all about chasing great flavors, one bite at a time. We kicked off the morning with coffee at Black Stone Cafe, a cozy spot located near Klang’s iconic mosque. The calm ambiance and good coffee set the tone for the day. Next, we made our way to Mahona’s Restaurant for a satisfying banana leaf lunch—generous portions, bold spices, and that comforting familiarity of hearty Indian cuisine. A short drive brought us to The Brew Lab, a cool little cafe where we recharged with another round of coffee before heading to our early dinner destination. Of course, no Klang food trail is complete without Bak Kut Teh, and we had ours at the legendary Ah Her Bak Kut Teh. Rich, herbal broth and tender meat—absolutely worth the hype. Finally, the highlight of our trip: Kebun Kelapa Restaurant, famous for its fresh, succulent seafood. We indulged in two types of crab—chili crab and salt-baked crab—each flavorful in its own way. Alongside were fried rice with wok hei, crispy French beans, and the showstopper of the night: Kam Heong Bamboo Clams. From street favorites to seafood feasts, Klang truly lived up to its reputation.
