Wreck of Loch Ard

The Loch Ard Gorge is one of the popular stop-off points when driving down the Great Ocean Road. It is situated in Port Campbell National Park. In 1878, there was a shipwreck in Port Campbell and there were only 2 survivors who were washed ashore. The ship’s name was Loch Ard and that is how Loch Ard Gorge got it’s name. There are a few walking tracks which you can take to fully enjoy the beautiful nature settings at Loch Ard Gorge. I recommend the Loch Ard Wreck Lookout and the Mutton Bird Island Lookout for exceptional views and don’t miss out on the Wreck of the Loch Ard trail to learn more about the region’s history. #momentssg #nationalpark #australia
